How to download Windows 11 & where to download windows 11
There are many websites that sell pirated copies of the Windows operating system, trust me, not all of them are legit, many of them are pirated copies that may contain harmful viruses, worms, trojans, or other spying functions, that can steal your private data and can sell or use for blackmailing.
We are downloading Windows 11 from the original Microsoft website, click here
How to install Windows 11 step by step using Pendrive/Flashdrive
For installing windows on your old windows Computer you have to follow certain steps and make sure you never skip any of that, in this tutorial we are installing Windows 11 sun valley edition from a flash drive.
Since Windows 11 is a modern and advanced version of Microsoft, here are some basic requirements that you will need before starting the installation process of Windows 11 through Pendrive.
- Working PC/Laptop
- PC/Laptop with a minimum storage of 60Gb or more and minimum RAM of 2Gb or more than that
- Pendrive/Flashdrive 8Gb and above (ex 16Gb, 32Gb)
- Windows License key (non-essential)
Remember Except Windows key all other are must requirements for installing windows 11 in your PC/Laptop.
2) Download and Install Windows Installation Tool:
First of all, we have to download the Windows 11 Installation tool, which is available on the same page, it’s in a form of a software that we have to install on our computer it has a size of approx 80Mb.
You can download Windows 11 Installation tool from the original Microsoft website from here.
After the download, you have to install the software on your PC.
3) Pendrive/Flashdrive Setup (Booting device)
After installing the software we need a Pendrive of 8Gb or more than 8Gb because windows 11 installation will require almost more than 6Gb of space, so it’s better to take a Pendrive of bigger storage.
Insert the Pendrive to your PC and execute the Windows 11 Installation tool, or we can say Run the installation tool.
It will take some, till then be patient.
Accept the terms and conditions.
Remember we have to make a Bootable Pendrive, so we have to select the second option named “create installation media (USB flash drive) for another PC”
Select the second option. and hit next.
Now we have to setup Windows 11 System Architecture and language, in this windows 11 will be the default edition.
Select System architecture as 64 bit (x64) and language as English.
After that, it will take some time for installation about (5-10 min), then it will show this message. that “Your USB flash drive is ready”
Now your Bootable Pendrive is ready to install Windows 11.
4) Boot your Device (PC/Laptop):
Now you have to restart your device, as soon as you hit your restart button you have to open your Boot Menu, you can access your PC’s boot menu by clicking the F12 or F10 key on your computer, it will probably see like this.
Different computers have different boot menus, so for finding yours just Google it.
5) Changing Boot option to USB drive
After we successfully opened the boot menu we are going to change the booting option of our computer to the new USB drive.
as you can see we have opened the boot menu, in that option, you can see your hard drive, your DVD drive, and another option as your Pendrive.
Now you have to select your USB drive (Pendrive) as Booting Priority, in the above image you can see I have “hp v232w PMAP” as my booting USB drive.
As soon as you select your USB you will see that the installation process has been started.
6) Language and Region Setup
Now you have to select your language, time, etc.
7) Windows Key and Version Setup
Either you can buy a Windows License key or you can just skip it, you are able to use your windows 11 without any issues, but with less customization.
If you don’t have a key just select the “I don’t have a product key” option.
Then you have to select which version of windows 11 do you want, like home, pro, etc.
if you are not sure which windows variant to choose, always select “Windows 11 Home” or “Windows 11 Pro”.
8) Making Partitions in Storage
Previously after the Boot menu selection, storage partition is one of the most important things while integrating windows 11 to your PC (personal computer).
in this step, you just have to allocate your disk storage to your “c drive” and other partitions as per your requirements.
Always remember you have to allocate a minimum 100Gb of disk space to your c Drive, and others can be compromised.
First of all, you have to delete all the previous allotted disk storage, by selecting the drive and clicking on the “Delete” button.
Now for making a partition simply click on the “New” option and allocate the remaining disk space to make your other D drive, E drive, etc as per your requirements.
As soon as you click on the “Next” button the further installation of Windows 11 will proceed.
It will take some time, till then have a cup of tea or coffee.
9) Windows 11 Installation Setup & Keyboard Layout Setup
Now you just have to skip the keyboard layout setup, because it’s unnecessary, just hit the “Next” button.
Now you have to select the setup integration for windows 11, which means whether your computer is for personal use or Organizational use.
If you are not sure about anything just select the first option named “Set up for personal use” because it’s much safer.
10) Microsoft Account Setup
Sign in to your old Microsoft Account, if you don’t have one, just create a new one, and hit the “Next” button.
11) Setting up Disk Storage & Drives
Previously we have created many partitions in your drive, for c drive, d drive, etc.
But if you see your C drive is working fine but your other partitions are not accessible or not usable.
For that go to the respective drive (except c drive), like d drive, e drive, etc. Right-click on that drive option and hit the “Format” option.
If the option is not available then go to your “Disk Management” option and format the drive that you want to.
Remember do not format your c drive.
12) Customize Your PC/Laptop
Now basically your Windows 11 is ready to use if you want to customize more just go to settings and you can customize your PC/Laptop as per your requirements.
one of my personal Windows 11 customizzatopn tips:
- Enable Dark Mode
- Make taskbar elements small
- change color
- change screen resolution, etc
Now your Windows 11 computer is ready to use if you want to know about the latest features of windows 11 have a look at our latest blog on “32+ NEW FEATURES OF WINDOWS 11 THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW”.
