Xiaomi Redmi Buds 3 Pro
Redmi buds 3 Pro are Xiaomi’s answers to those who are interested in premium true wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation but can’t quite afford the best buds that Samsung and Apple have to offer.
Redmi Buds 3 Pro pack a hell of a lot of punch at a very reasonable price tag and yes of course the buds 3 Pro can indeed be used with other smartphones they can actually be used with two smartphones at one time or one smartphone and a laptop or a T.V as well.
We eventually get inside the box we can see the glacier gray variant of the buds 3 Pro which we’ll get to in a minute another contents of the box which includes some leaflets which we obviously don’t care much about and of course we do indeed get some buds inside the box for different ear sizes something that you usually, you do get a usb type a to type c charging cable within the box.
We have that usb type-c port at the bottom which means that yes we can charge it wired using any block of your choice it seems to be capped at 2.5 watts however and charging time takes around 2.5 hours.
The Xiaomi Buds 3 Pro also support wireless charging which means if you have a smartphone device that supports reverse wireless charging you can just pop it on the back of that device however you can use any other qi wireless charging charging pad that you may come across in your household.
The Xiaomi Bud 3 Pro charging cradle sports a 470 milliamp hour battery case and we do have 35 milliamp hour batteries within each individual but when it comes to battery life on a single charge for both earbuds obviously at 35 milliamps can go all the way up to 6 hours which is actually better than most premium flagship earbuds.
and of course we also have a higher battery life with the included case of up to 28 hours but the star of the show here is the 10 minute charge up within the case to get 3 hours of usage.
Even the most expensive earbuds around have to charge for 30 minutes or more to get the same three hours of usage the charging cradle itself is not the smallest around but still relatively small at 65 millimeters tall and 48 millimeters wide.
And yes they do come with water resistance but unfortunately only ipx8 for water resistance meaning it is only resistant to splashes.
The Xiaomi Bud 3 Pro are relatively small they certainly fit in my ears i don’t have the largest i don’t have the smallest pretty much average ears and if you do take the galaxy buds pro into accounts they pretty much neck and neck in terms of size and weight.
When they are sitting in my ears and they are sticking in there quite well meaning that you can jam to your tunes hassle free of them falling to their death.
Each bud uses magnetic pins in order to charge within the cradle and the cradle itself has a magnetic lid and all of which are relatively soft.
bring in your xiaomi device or android device or any ios device for that matter tap on the button on the front and it’s a quick pair in the bluetooth settings options in order to get things going.
And yes we can pair two devices at once i have my Samsung Galaxy s21 Ultra on the right and me 11 Ultra on the left both paired to the Redmi Bud 3 Pro at the same time.
We do have transparency and noise cancellation modes over here though you can only use them when the buds are actually in your ears of course that kind of makes sense.
When it comes to transparency mode we have an enhanced and a balanced mode enhanced so that you can hear all of your surroundings around you and balance so that you can only hear certain things such as voices.
Then we have active noise cancellation we have a couple different modes we have adaptive which automatically changes based on the environment that you’re in.
We also have light mode which is for when you’re just taking a stroll in the park balance mode for when things get a bit noisy in office and deep mode for when things are extremely noisy such as in a subway station.
We also have dual microphones over here to deduct 35 decibels of sound which is impressive to say the least within the app itself.
We also have a couple other features such as allowing it to use phone calls media audio and of course in-ear detection which is great you can even answer calls automatically through your buds.
As soon as you get a call on your phone they automatically get answered through your buds and of course we have a nifty little notification shade widgets.
The audio quality is superb the buds 3 pro do get extremely loud not the loudest i’ve heard but still right up there with the best of the best in terms of loudness and you’ll be happy to hear that they do not distort when going to the max volume.
We do also have touch gestures in order to use different things such as playing and pausing going to the next song or enabling active noise cancellation or transparency mode.
They have of course wireless charging fast wired charging 10 minute 3 hour wattage charging 6 hours battery life out the case 28 hours in the case active noise cancellation transparency mode they fit in pretty much all.
They have a nice soft touch and of course they also have touch gestures on the sides they are half the price of what other competitors are asking for the same features packed into such a small tiny little case which makes me happy to say i can definitely recommend these earbuds.
Now let’s compare Xiaomi Redmi Buds 3 Pro vs Realme Buds Air 2 Comparision.
Realme Buds Air 2
Realme has been launching a lot of earbuds in the past year or so read me about air the Realme Buds Neo, Buds Q, Bud’s wireless Buds air pro yeah that’s a lot and now they’ve launched this the Realme Buds Air 2.
Now, these are something that actually got me interested because these bring active noise cancellation at just rupees 3,300/- so instead of focusing on it, I decided to use this full time and this is a real me buzz air 2 review.
let’s keep things crisp and nice from the design front the readme buds air 2’s case is basically the Buds pro case with the same over design USB c port but without the little chrome thingy on the back.
As for the design of the earbuds, it’s a little different and it’s something I personally do not call good looking but I’d say it’s interesting so as you can see it has this two-tone design with the stem featuring a chrome silver look while the earbuds are the usual white with silicone tips.
As for the earbuds, they are ipx7 rated so they should be fine with sweat and some rain and these earbuds are also very light and they fit in my ear perfectly.
As for the comfort, these are budged earbuds and I’d say they are okayish comfort-wise when I was using this continuously for half an hour or less I found them to be fine but when I was using them for longer like an hour or two hours I did feel the need to remove them and give my ears a break.
Now if you think about it in this price segment there is the Redmi buds A pro and the Oppo Enco W51 that bring the active noise cancellation feature but they have priced around 5000 rupees and the Realme Buds Air 2 to bring ANC to an even lower price segment which is actually great.
let’s talk about the experience so there are three modes noise cancellation for max noise reduction, general for you know slight noise reduction, and transparency mode which lets you hear everything from the outside world.
The two noise cancellation modes by just press holding the touch sensor on the readme but there too now as for the experience the noise cancellation on the Realme Buds Air 2 actually works fairly well now it’s not as good as higher-priced earphones quite obviously and it won’t have an impact on higher frequencies but it does a good job of reducing sounds.
So it’s good to see I think noise cancellation at this price is a big deal especially because this actually works I mean a lot of earphones that have ANC don’t make a lot of difference so this is pretty good for the price.
Now, apart from ANC the biggest factor when it comes to wireless earbuds is the sound quality so the Realme was there to have 10 millimeter high five drivers.
when it comes to codex ASC is supported but Qualcomm’s APTX is not now to get to the point state I think the sound quality of the Realme Buds Air 2 is very good.
Let me tell you that the Realme Buds Air 2 brings similar good sound quality there are a lot of positives here they’re very loud almost crazy loud the bass is nice and thumping the sound stage is wide and the balance between the lows mids and the treble is pretty good as well.
